in reference to the landing licences to be granted to the Eastern and Associated Telegraph Companies in various colonies and forwarding a plan which has been submitted by the Governor of Hong Kong on which is indicated the new cable reserve.

I am to express my Company's thanks to Mr. Secretary Amery for allowing us to peruse this plan which is returned herewith. The assumption in the last paragraph of your letter is correct. The plans prepared for the new Hong Kong licence will correctly indicate the present situation of the telegraph lines in Hong Kong harbour which were actually removed to the new reserve area in August 1924.
